Power Alignment Yoga™ in Lake County - January 21, 2008
In total more than 40 came from the community to practice Power Alignment Yoga™ Monday night at the Eustis Community Center. The beginner class started around 5:30 p.m. with a packed house. About 32 students from the earlier 20s to about 80 years of age came from Leesburg, Tavares and Eustis to practice Power Alignment Yoga™, which was trademarked by MyLinda Ann Morales Hutchings. Students scooted together and stacked chairs to make more space for those who arrived a few minutes late. The one-hour class had students stretching their toes, centering their feet and learning proper stances. One of three men participating, John, 42, was eager to learn and to take steps to increase his flexibility while hoping to help his lower back pain. "I thought it was interesting at the beginner level," he said. "I'm looking forward to advancing." The intermediate Power Alignment Yoga™ class started around 6:30 p.m About 10 students from early 20s to 50 years of age showed up for the 90 minute workout, which included strong standing poses, backbends, abdominals, and hip openers.
The yoga instructor, MyLinda said, "I am elated by Lake County's reception to the community yoga class at the Eustis Community Center. Thanks to everyone that participated and made the event a success. We had beginners and seasoned students practicing yoga side by side." At this point, the classes are scheduled to take place Monday, Jan. 28, at the Eustis Community Center, 601 Northshore Drive, Eustis. Beginner class will be from 5:30-6:15 p.m. and intermediate class will be from 6:30-8 p.m. The venue will be changing in the near future. Introduction to Power Alignment Yoga™ in Lake County December 29, 2007
Beginner and Intermediate Power Alignment Yoga™ classes will be taught by its creator, MyLinda Ann Morales Hutchings, beginning Monday, Jan. 21. She will teach a beginner class from 5:30 p.m. to 6:15 p.m. and an intermediate class from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at Eustis Community Building, 601 Northshore Drive, Eustis.
